The Algarve Edit
Follow the southern coast
The Algarve is not one view of the sea. Different towns, beaches and stretches of coast create their own rhythm, best explored with time to pause between them.

Faro beyond the postcard
The Algarve begins differently when you start in Faro's old town. Through the Arco da Vila, the city changes scale: quieter streets and the cathedral square offer a contrast to the open marina. Take time with the architecture before turning towards the lagoon.
Cidade Velha is not simply a prelude to the beach. Its streets, stonework and shaded pauses give the southern coast a human scale. The pleasure is in moving between an enclosed historic centre and the wider view beyond it, rather than treating either as a quick photograph on the way somewhere else.
